Hello, I am Debbie
I have always been interested in natural healing, and my passion is to help people develop and grow.
I am Debbie Thorne, and I run The Diamond Light School of Healing from my home in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. It is a heart-centred school where I teach Reiki, healing, spiritual development and holistic therapies, and offer one-to-one treatments and readings.
Whether you are completely new to healing or already on your path, you are very welcome here.
After leaving my job in retail, I decided to follow my heart.
My journey
How I got here
- 1997
Finding healing
After leaving my job in retail, I decided to follow my heart. I studied Holistic Therapies for 12 months, which led me on to Healing in 1997.
- 2001
Teaching at Weston College
Four years later I started teaching for Weston College and gained lots of great experience. After 8 years I left to rethink my plans.
- 2013
My own teaching business
I developed a private teaching business and became a Reiki Master Teacher. It has been an amazing journey, teaching all kinds of Holistic Therapies and various Healing modalities, and that is still what I do today.
- 2017
A festival for Weston
In 2017 and 2018 I organised a Sound and Healing Festival, which brought hundreds of people to Weston.
- 2018
Holy Fire III with William Rand
I trained directly with William Rand, and all the Reiki courses I teach now include the Holy Fire III energy. It honours and is in alignment with the Usui system of healing.
- 2020
Channelling Diamond Light
I channelled this amazing energy in 2020, in order to serve the Ascension and the new Earth energies. It is now also a healing course I offer.
- 2021
A new name
My business became The Diamond Light School of Healing, the name it carries today.

How Diamond Light got its name
The name Diamond Light was channelled through me in 2020, in order to serve the Ascension and the new Earth energies. In 2021 my business took on that name and became The Diamond Light School of Healing.
The energy is at the heart of what I do today. You can learn about it through the Diamond Light Frequency System Upgrade, or receive it as a Diamond Light Healing treatment, in person or distantly. It is a complementary therapy and is not a replacement for medical care.
Before 2021, you may have known the business as DT Holistic Training. It is still me, and I would love to hear from you.
Community
Bringing people together
My current proud community event, which has run since 2013, is the Bleadon Holistic & Spiritual Evening. It is a friendly evening with meditation, a crystal sound bath, shared food, and the chance to try treatments and readings from a range of therapists.
I also host a free Reiki Share at 7 Whitecross Road, with time for energy clearing, meditation and healing practice. You can find the next dates on my events page.

Questions about me and the school
Is this the same business as DT Holistic Training?
Yes. The name changed to The Diamond Light School of Healing in 2021, after I channelled the Diamond Light energy in 2020. I am still the person teaching your course.
Where do your courses take place?
Courses are held in my home training space at 7 Whitecross Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1EP. The Bleadon Holistic & Spiritual Evening is held in Bleadon Village.
Do I need any experience to start?
No. Courses such as Usui Reiki Level 1 and the crystal healing workshop are designed for complete beginners.
